One, HDPE is the English abbreviation of High Density Polyethylene, the Chinese name for high-density polyethylene.

The advantages of high density polyethylene (HDPE):

1, impact resistance and good cold resistance, resistance to environmental stress cracking.

2, excellent chemical stability, good oil resistance.

3, water absorption and tiny, low water permeability, organic vapor transmission rate is large.

4, good electrical insulation, in all frequency range, dielectric properties are extremely excellent. 

Disadvantages of high-density polyethylene (HDPE):

1, HDPE's use temperature is not high, generally below 110 ℃.

2, the aging resistance of HDPE is poor, under the action of the atmosphere, sunlight, oxygen, gradually become brittle, mechanical strength and electrical properties decline.

3, under the molding temperature, it will be caused by oxidation, and viscosity decline, discoloration and streaking.

Second, PP is the English abbreviation of Polypropylene, the Chinese name is polypropylene.

The advantages of polypropylene (PP):

1, has excellent mechanical properties, its strength, elasticity are higher than HDPE, bending fatigue resistance is good.

2, has good heat resistance, melting point of 164-170 ℃, products can be sterilized at temperatures above 100 ℃, heat deflection temperature can usually reach 110 ℃, the embrittlement temperature of -35 ℃.

3, chemical stability is very good, in addition to concentrated sulfuric acid, concentrated nitric acid erosion, to other chemical reagents are relatively stable.

4, polypropylene combustion of high-frequency insulation performance is excellent, because it almost does not absorb water, so insulation performance is not affected by temperature.

Disadvantages of polypropylene (PP):

1, shrinkage rate is large, thick-walled products are easy to dent.

2、In low temperature, the impact strength is poor.

3, high electrostatic degree, easy to contact with copper aging.

4, very sensitive to ultraviolet light.
